Pros and cons of Frederic: Resurrection of Music app for iPhone and iPad

Frederic: Resurrection of Music app good for

Both games have become my absolute favourite, go-to apps. Whether Im bored in a waiting room, stressed out and need to unwind a bit, or laying in bed unable to sleep... these games have come to my rescue! Between the wonderful and humorous storytelling, the engaging and light hearted art, the puntastic and fantastic use of artists and composers both modern and classical, and the very obvious and much appreciated hard work thats gone into developing the music - that both pays homage to the original pieces, as well as twisting and tweaking them in creative ways... these games are sure to make you laugh and smile and have fun! I play and have played both games over and over, and will continue to do so. Definitely one of the best purchases Ive made. I can only hope they might make a third?!
Even if youre not into classical music youll find this a fun game! The modern versions match the nice story and the graphic and playability are both great. Would like to see Mozart next! :)
Liebevoll gestaltetes Spiel mit tollen Arrangements - unglaublich wie anders Kompositionen wirken können. Respect to the developer, please add more songs :-)
This app is amazing fun Great story and animations Game mechanics work incredibly well If you havent tried it you gotta try it Tons of content
This app is great. I played the first three stages and had a great time both playing the music game and making it through the story. The game is very much in line with other music/rhythm games, but since you play with a virtual keyboard on the iPad, it relates a bit more to a real piano than, say, a guitar hero guitar. The music is all from classics of Frederic Chopin, but remixed to match your modern adversaries as you make your way through the game. The art style is great and, once you are comfortable enough with a song, you can start paying attention to all the stuff that goes on in the background as the camera pans across the "stage" and the various characters. No need to be a piano player to enjoy this game. Im currently playing on normal and Im not having too much trouble making my way through. There are two difficulty levels above that, which I have not tried yet. Overall, great production value and good musical fun.
Great artwork and entertaining story. Intuitive gameplay. Love the remixes!

Some bad moments

The main game consists of "challenges" like playing on a keyboard (octave range) whereas playing means pressing the key when a note symbol (odd: always eighth duration, not the duration actually played) flies down a yarn. Not only this is boring and absolutely unmusical, Chopins pieces are arranged for pop drums (sic) and synthesizer. Horrible. Go buy yourself a piano and learn playing Chopin or buy a CD, its your lifetime and you should spend it wisely. Ah, also the storytelling is absolutely poorly animated.
I can t Download the new Version of the game. But the old one doesnt work. What a pitty.
Crashes all the time. I have yet to get past the "wear headphones" screen. WTF!!!! fix this !
This game is awesome, but this update wont allow me to play this game. I get infinite loading screen. Cmon, why the lite version wont take a long time to load, but the full version and the second part will never load
This game includes an very high quality framing story around its nine musical encounters. The gameplay is best described as rhythm gameplay and requires quite a bit of dexterity, even at the easiest of the 3 available difficulty modes. The music itself is excellent and renders Chopins compositions in various styles. I am enjoying everything about this game and highly recommend it. Edit: Lowered my current review score from 5 to 4 because I feel the difficulty level is too high on the easiest setting - " Normal". I would hope the developer would add an easier setting for those of us who are dexterity-challenged.
Excellent music game with good challenging gameplay and excellent replay value and production quality. Works perfectly on the iPad 2. My one big complaint is that there is no autorotation for the screen position. If you want to play this game with the Apple Smart Cover folded up in the slant horizontal position, you cant because the screen rotation would be upside down. Also if youre playing this standing up and have headphones plugged in, it would be a lot easier to carry the iPad if the screen is rotated the right way so that the earphone cord is on the top right, instead of the bottom left where my hand would usually go. Really good game, but hopefully the developers add in autorotation
