Frederic: Resurrection of Music App Reviews

This game includes an very high quality framing story around its nine musical encounters. The gameplay is best described as rhythm gameplay and requires quite a bit of dexterity, even at the easiest of the 3 available difficulty modes. The music itself is excellent and renders Chopins compositions in various styles. I am enjoying everything about this game and highly recommend it. Edit: Lowered my current review score from 5 to 4 because I feel the difficulty level is too high on the easiest setting - " Normal". I would hope the developer would add an easier setting for those of us who are dexterity-challenged.

Excellent music game with good challenging gameplay and excellent replay value and production quality. Works perfectly on the iPad 2. My one big complaint is that there is no autorotation for the screen position. If you want to play this game with the Apple Smart Cover folded up in the slant horizontal position, you cant because the screen rotation would be upside down. Also if youre playing this standing up and have headphones plugged in, it would be a lot easier to carry the iPad if the screen is rotated the right way so that the earphone cord is on the top right, instead of the bottom left where my hand would usually go. Really good game, but hopefully the developers add in autorotation

I was going to play this to test it out, but if you use an Apple Smart Cover to rest the iPad 2 at a shallow angle, the game plays upside down. I guess it has to play flat...

I was never a fan of musical games, but I am really enjoying this one. I really like the animation/graphics, and the music is great. Definitely worth getting and highly recommended. I havent experienced any crashes yet - playing on a new iPad 2.

Would be nice if it wasnt upside down on iPad 2. Doesnt respect rotation of device, had to remove iPad 2 cover to play.

The new version fixed all of the stability problems I was experiencing on iPad 1. It seems they also made some of the patterns a bit more like the way they sound. Complex/long runs seem more achievable. This is a really neat game. The graphics are really nice, the story is campy and fun, the English voice overs are so bad they are good. The music is decent, and includes some time signatures that are rare in this kind of game. Its really fun to play a song with a mixed meter for a change! I am looking forward to the sequel.

I must say, Ive never played anything quite like this before. Its a lot of fun, and a totally different take on music/rythm games. I have the same issue as everyone else though, why on earth doesnt the screen rotate? I mean really, did the developers not have anyone with a smart cover on an iPad 2 play this before they released it? Im not going to take off a star for it, I just hope they fix it soon.

this game is great on so many levels! the art is really good! the music is wonderful! (i love hearing how the originals are redone to fit the genres). also the story had great humor! i really liked this game! i had one issue with lag on my ipad 1st gen, which is that the game play and music were slightly out of sync directly after a story cut scene, but as soon as i paused and restarted the level the lag was fixed. it could be that i need to update my ios tho. none the less i enjoyed every minute of this fantastic game and very much agree with the underlying message regarding the music industry. this is easily one of my all time favorite music games! great work!

Well I bought this app for 3 bucks and its AWSOME! To pay 1 dolor its an amazing deal! Oh and thanks for the app crash update the game works now! Plz keep the updates coming!

Wow. Great art, amazing music. Im bad at rhythm games, but the gameplay seems serviceable. 5+ stars while its on sale for a dollar, 4 1/2 when it goes back to 3. Grab it while its cheap!

Music games are all about the tracks, and this one has some very innovative takes on the classical compositions met to the theme of the level. Good replayability becuase the music is good and you just want to give your favorite tracks another listen.

Definitely one of the top music based games available! The story line is so entertaining, the music beautiful and captivating. A definite game to recommend! Cant wait for more songs to come!

I like the risk this developer took to make this app. Its not the same, tired formula. Its musical and its fun. Highly recommended!!!

Delightful art and music and a pretty funny story are the treat here. The trick is some rather dodgy voice acting. Its not the best rhythm game out there, but for free I can think of worse ways to spend an hour.
